Daily Passionate Photography Thoughts
Photo Speaks – A Clean Environment
#NoChoice but to #StayAtHome. Many things done passionately every day are put on hold. Among them is photography. Finding objects near and far within the comfort zone to photograph safely has become my new passion now. During a #WorkFromHome break, I looked through the window outside. Streets are quiet except for a few vehicles. I Started looking more deep and close to the farthest objects. I was surprised!. I could see #SheikhZayedMosque which is about 16 kilometers from my home very clearly. Didn’t want to miss taking a photo of it!
#AbuDhabi is of course a clean city. It has become more beautiful now.
#Covid2019 – is bringing out a lot of changes to our personal self and also to the environment we live. Of course, less pollution is one positive thing that is happening now.
Do not miss out on observing these small things happening around us during these difficult times.
Some immediate take away actions that we could easily adopt, when the situation normalises:
- Working from home at least 1 or 2 days per week.
- Increased Car pooling and Less Vehicles on Road Day
Give it a thought and share it with me with photos and ideas.

Photo Speaks: Reliving the past

I am going through my archives and this is my photo of the day. 2019 Photo.
2 minutes of short nap and my colleague caught me…
6 days of non-stop effort for the preparation of our stand at World Future Energy Summit WFES 2019. And it was the 3rd day of the event. So, one more day to go for WFES 2019.
Obviously, the photo is extra special as it is captured by our Remote Sensing Specialist, Damien DHONT!. He is the man behind our latest technology – The Subsea Gliders for Oil & Gas Exploration which was exhibited at our Stand A410 at WFES2019 and again WFES2020.

#MindSpeaks : Gooseberry Goosebumps
What a nice thought and title that came out in mind today to keep my blogging activity alive!.
True. I open my heart and mind through different media and medium. One is my blogging activity, other is photography and third is my quest for music.
In all the three, I am just a basic student. There are experts and there are critics as well as fans. I do give them due regards.
Now, coming to today’s topic. True. I am getting goosebumps! A different kind, out of fear or anxiety or excitement. I do not know which one is right and correct!
Trying to be a vegetarian, it has been my routine to have rice porridge in the morning before I start to office. Along with it, some dhal and an added marinated mango or gooseberry or spicy pickle of either of them is my routine. It gives me enough strength to take me through my day and be back home.
Rice porridge is traditional and staple food of many Keralites. The porridge made out of boiled rice give lot of strength and stamina. Intake of gooseberry daily gives lot of strength and stamina.
Being able to travel several times to my home town, I replenish the stock of gooseberry pickle each time I return. That means, there is always an abundance of stock and I have the liberty to have two, three or 4 pieces daily.
But, when I looked at the bottle, I found only a few, may be less than 10!….
I realized, I was in a dream world!. I never realize ahead about a tough day that was ahead.
What do I do? I long for having more than one piece today? Only option was to place the gooseberry in a plate and look at its reflection and believe and convince myself, there is not one, but two for you!
Life at times is like that. We are thrown into some harsh realities suddenly without any anticipation or expectation.
The ongoing Covid 2019 situation is also like that. We will survive. We will fight it out.
#StaySafe #StayAtHome – that is the mantra now. Follow the government rules and guidelines.
We will have opportunities to smile and think over these tough days.
Information Update: Dh500,000 fine for posting photo online without permission in UAE
Offenders can also be jailed.
Q1) I attended a wedding in the emirate of Al Ain last month, where I made the acquaintance of many guests, who graced the occasion. I also came in contact with a woman who was friendly in her interaction with me, and with whom I went on to pose for photographs. Thereafter, I posted a selfie clicked with her on one of my social media accounts as a story without seeking permission from the said woman, considering that she too had posted many photographs of herself and others from the same wedding on her social media platform. However, now the said woman has threatened to file a case against me for posting a photograph (in which she is present), without her consent. Further, the photograph I had posted is no longer there on my account. Will there be any legal implications?

Photo Speaks: Year of Tolerance.
Summer is getting better, brighter and hotter. One way to win over it is to get used to it as much as one can. Like other activities, cycling is one of my passion and it is the best way I find to get acclimatised to the change of weather. Either in the morning or in the evening, through the dedicated cycling tracks #InAbuDhabi city, it is more than fun to ride a bicycle at a leisurely pace. As a #PassionatePhotographer, you get to see the city from various different angles that you normally don’t notice if in a car or any other mode of transport. My route today was through the Abu Dhabi Municipality. The special sign boards or “Year of Tolerance” are prominently displayed there from the day it was was launched. Seeing it, my thought process argued with me, how many times, I had to really practice my Tolerance skills this year?!
I am sure, reading this small note, each one of you will ponder about.
I wish to hear your experiences on this key topic.
Footnote to my post of today – Too much of computer and mobile and absolutely no writing by hand!. I found that my handwriting has become extremely bad!😢! So, decided to have a weekly blog post handwritten and posted as jpeg.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi
A must visit place when you are in Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is a dream that was diligently made to a reality.
If you happen to be interested in art, history and photography and carrying a camera with you, I am sure, you will never finish clicking your photos. So many beautiful angles… I do not remember how many times, by now, I took my friends, family and official guests. I still fall in love capturing its beauty through my lenses and delay their return each time.

The Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi
A visit to Abu Dhabi is not complete now if you do not visit The Louvre Museum.
