The beauty of Dates

Posted on

I am always fascinated by Date Palm trees and Dates in them. The beauty of joy of watching them is to be experienced. If not yet done, next time when you go for a walk, please do. Watch the leaves and fruits swinging in the gentle breeze. You will feel as if they are talking to you.

Mind Speaks: To or Not To Wear a Mask for the kids?

To or Not To Wear a Face Mask – Choice is yours

During the weekend, I was at a local shopping mall in Abu Dhabi. Eid Holidays, although not to the normal times, there was sufficient enough public to ensure safe distance protocol was in place by the local authorities.

As I walked, I noticed a dad with a young girl following him from one shop to another. I was happy to see the little one wearing the face mask and walk quietly behind her dad. Both of them had face masks and had kept it properly.

After sometimes, I noticed, whenever the dad received a phone call and he lowered down his face mask, the little girl too changed the position of her mask and kept as her father was doing!. As he finished his call, he brought it back to normal position and the child too did the same!.

I was smiling to myself when I observed this continue a few times.

It brought to my mind, the important point that all health and hygiene practices will work only if we as parents and elders follow in front of our children.

This Mind Speaks note is just a caution to all those who have small kids at home. Make it a habit to wear a face mask and they will follow suite.

A nice article “Tips on How to Get Kids to Wear Face Masks” from Stanford Children’s Health is linked for you to read.
