When The Festival Tones Continue To Ring In Our Ears
Another #covid weekend and another music presentation . This time improvising and presenting tones of different percussion instruments used during temple festivals in Kerala using Tabala.
The biggest festival Trichur Pooram was supposed to be held on 2nd May and followed by a 10 day festival at Irinjalakuda. Both activities in my home district cancelled for the first time in several 100s of years!.
ഓർമ്മകൾ മരിക്കുമോ….നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട ഒരു പൂര-ഉത്സവക്കാലത്തിന്റെ ഓർമക്കായി സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു….
കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഉത്സവക്കാലങ്ങളിലെ എല്ലാ താള മേള വാദ്യങ്ങളും മനസ്സിനുള്ളിൽ സംഘർഷം തീർക്കുമ്പോൾ തബലയിലൂടെ മനസ്സും കയ്യും യാത്ര ചെയ്ത നേരത്തു റെക്കോർഡ് ചെയ്തത്.
ഞാനടക്കം പല പ്രവാസികളും ഈ ദിവസ്സങ്ങളിൽ ഉത്സവക്കാലത്തു നാട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടാവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരിക്കാം…
അടുത്ത ഒരുത്സവക്കാലത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കാം പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ !
