അബുദാബി സലാം സ്ട്രീറ്റ് റോഡ് വികസന പരിപാടി ഊര്ജിതമായി പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നു. അതോടെ തന്നെ റോഡിലെ തിരക്കും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു. ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ ദിവസ്സത്തിനുള്ളില് തിരക്ക് കുറഞ്ഞ റൂട്ടുകള് എല്ലാവരും കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചു ഉപയോഗിച്ചു തുടങ്ങും എന്ന് ആശ്വസിക്കാം. പാര്ക്കിംഗ് കിട്ടാനും വളരെ വിഷം. കാലാവസ്ഥ മാത്രം വളരെ നല്ലത്. എന്നാല് നമ്മുക്ക് കാര് വീട്ടില് തന്നെ ഇട്ടു നടക്കുകയോ അല്ലെങ്കില് സൈക്കിള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താലോ?
It’s time to do some biking
Well well. The development project is on and the roads are too crowded to go around since yesterday. Traffic flow will gain momentum as the road users will explore possibilities of easier alternate routes. The climate is excellent, and the parking is a problem too. Why not, do some walking or biking?

KOCHI: He has been entertaining people with his rocking music for many years. DJ Savio, one of the hottest DJs in Kerala, is now reinventing his music. ‘Free Formation’ – a fusion of percussion and in-house music – will be a different musical experience for the clubbing crowd in the city. For the music programme ‘Savio Rocks Kerala’ DJ Savio and percussionist Carl will perform a jugalbandi at Rajeev Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kadavanthra, on Saturday at 6.30 pm.
Free Formation, formed by Savio and Carl, is the first venture in Kerala to weave percussion and in-house music, which is popular in other metros across the country. Upbeat and power-packed music define Free Formation. “I always wanted to do something different and refreshing. There are bands in metros which mix percussion and in-house music. But usually they use slow numbers for mixing. Here we are using house and trance,” says DJ Savio.
To raise awareness among the public, the duo is planning to do street shows. “The support of the public is necessary. That is why we are doing the street shows,” says Savio.

എസ്.ഐ.ക്ക് ജാമ്യം കിട്ടാന് കോടതിയില് പോലീസിന്റെ ധര്ണ
ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: എസ്.ഐ.ക്കൊപ്പം സി.ബി.ഐ. അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്തയാളെ ജാമ്യത്തില് വിടുകയും എസ്.ഐ.ക്ക് ജാമ്യം നിഷേധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതില് പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് പോലീസുകാര് കോടതിപരിസരത്ത് ധര്ണയും പ്രതിഷേധപ്രകടനവും നടത്തി. ഒടുവില് കോടതി എസ്.ഐയ്ക്ക് ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചതോടെയാണ് പ്രശ്നം തീര്ന്നത്. പുതുച്ചേരി സെഷന്സ് കോടതിയിലാണ് സംഭവം. 5000 രൂപ കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങിയതിനാണ് ഒര്ലീന്പേട്ട് പോലീസ്സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ സബ്ഇന്സ്പെക്ടറെയും ഒരഭിഭാഷകനെയും സി.ബി.ഐ. അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്തത്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ഇരുവരെയും പ്രിന്സിപ്പല് സെഷന്സ് ജഡ്ജ ിക്കു മുമ്പില് ഹാജരാക്കി. അഭിഭാഷകന് ജാമ്യം നല്കിയ കോടതി എസ്.ഐയെ ജുഡീഷ്യല് കസ്റ്റഡിയില് റിമാന്ഡ് ചെയ്തു.
ഇത് പക്ഷപാതമാണെന്നാരോപിച്ച് കോടതി പരിസരത്ത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹപ്രവര്ത്തകരായ പോലീസുകാര് പ്രതിഷേധപ്രകടനവും ധര്ണയും നടത്തി. തുടര്ന്ന് വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ട് എസ്.ഐ.യുടെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ പരിഗണിച്ച കോടതി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ജാമ്യം നല്കി.
രേഖകള് തിരിച്ചുനല്കിയില്ലെന്നാരോപിച്ച് ഒരു സ്ത്രീ തനിക്കെതിരെ പരാതി നല്കിയതിനെത്തുടര്ന്ന് ഒരാള് സി.ബി.ഐ.യെ സമീപിച്ചതോടെയാണ് എസ്.ഐ.യും അഭിഭാഷകനും അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. ഈ വിഷയത്തില് ഇടപെട്ട എസ്.ഐ. തന്നോട് കൈക്കൂലി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടെന്നും നല്കിയില്ലെങ്കില് കേസെടുക്കുമെന്നും പറഞ്ഞതായി ഇയാള് സി.ബി.ഐ.യെ അറിയിച്ചു. കൈക്കൂലി നല്കാന് ചെന്നപ്പോള് അത് അഭിഭാഷകന്വഴി തരാന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. കൈക്കൂലിത്തുകയായ 5000 രൂപയില് 3000 രൂപ അഭിഭാഷകന് കൈവശംവെക്കുകയും 2000 എസ്.ഐ.ക്ക് നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തെന്ന് സി.ബി.ഐ. വക്താവ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ സംഭവത്തിലാണ് ഇരുവരും അറസ്റ്റിലായത്.
