ഈ കാണുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ വളരെ അടുത്ത ഒരു സ്നേഹിതന്‍ അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ ജോലി സ്ഥലത്ത് ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു അഗ്നിബാധയെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് അവശേഷിച്ച വസ്തുക്കളുടെതാണ്. എല്ലാം കത്തി ചാമ്പല്‍ ആയിട്ടും അവശേഷിച്ചത് അദ്ദേഹം വായിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു പുസ്തകം മാത്രം. ആ പടം കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ അതിശയിച്ചു പോയി. കാരണം, അത്, എന്റെ ഒരു ഇമെയില്‍ സുഹൃത്ത്‌ ശ്രീ രവി മേനോന്‍ (മ്യൂസിക്‌ രവി) എഴുതിയ പുസ്തകം ആയിരുന്നു. അതിന്റെ തലക്കെട്ട്‌ പല കാര്യങ്ങളും എന്നെ ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ചു. കാരണം, എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളും ഏകദേശം അതെ പോലെ ആണ്. വിജ്ഞാനം തന്നില്‍ തന്നെ ഒതുക്കാതെ അത് മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് പകര്‍ന്നു കൊടുക്കുകയും അവരുമായി പന്കുവക്കുകയും ചെയ്താലേ അത് അനശ്വരമാവുകയുള്ളൂ എന്ന് അടിയുറച്ചു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിയാണ് ഞാന്‍. ഈ സംഭവം അത് ഒന്ന് കൂടി ഒര്മിക്കുവാനും, ഒര്മിപ്പിക്കുവാനും ഒരവസ്സരം എനിക്ക് നല്‍കി. ആ നല്ല സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍ക്ക് നന്മകള്‍ നേര്‍ന്നു കൊള്ളുന്നു.
